Christmas In Everett!!!

Earlier this month, (January 9-12th) we got to have Christmas all over again with Daddy's side of the family!!! It was my first time driving a long distance and Mommy and Daddy said I did great! (I slept the entire way) Half way through we stopped at Mommy and Daddy's special rest stop to grab a "quick" bite to eat! We made sure to get right back on the road because we couldn't wait to get home to see everyone!!!

Once we got there, everyone was SO EXCITED to get Christmas started, we decided to open all our gifts! Mommy and Daddy had so much fun opening my gifts for me while I sat cozy in Grammie's arms! (Mommy and Daddy brought a bouncy seat for me, but little did they know there was NO WAY any one was putting me down the entire trip! hahaha!)

That night I slept so good in my pack n' play! I was extra cozy because I was cuddled up to my new cuddle bear that my Auntie got me for Christmas! To this day I still sleep with him at night!

Little did I know when I woke up I was going to have such a special day! I spent so much quality time with everyone! I was especially excited to find out I was going to meet my Great Gramma for the first time! Mommy thought it was so special that she got to take a 4 generation picture of all of us!

Later that night I got to meet some of my Daddy's best friends that he grew up with! (I was sad to find out Joe, who gave me my cool Ireland jacket, wasn't going to be there since he was still in Ireland. But Mommy and Daddy tell me I'll be able to meet him soon!) I did however get to meet Jeff, the one who drove all the way down to Fl. with my Daddy to ask my Grandpa for permission to marry my Mommy) and his wife Dina! I also got to meet Eric, "The Original!" (he was so excited to find out Mommy and Daddy were naming me Eric just like him!) and his girlfriend Danielle! Even though I was a bit cranky that night, they were all SO NICE to me!!! It's no wonder Mommy and Daddy love them all so much!!!

I also got to meet many of my Grammie and Grampa's friends. And I got to spend time with my Auntie L!!! She had a cold so she didn't want to get too close to me, but I still had a great seeing her and my Great Nannie again!

The next morning I woke up to a Winter Wonderland!!! That's something I didn't see when we spent Christmas in Florida! hahaha! Mommy, Daddy and I were so sad we had to leave. We were sure to get up early enough for me to spend time with everyone before we headed home. I made sure to play with Ruby, but I especially had fun playing with my Uncle John! I had so much fun with him as he would lift me high in the air!!!

I miss you already Great Gramma, Great Nannie, Grammie, Grampa, Auntie, Auntie L, Uncle John and Ruby!!!

Happy Birthday Taryn!

Since Mommy, Daddy and I had to leave your party early, I didn't get to sing you a Happy Birthday song :( So here it goes...

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Tar-ynnnn!
Happy Birthday to you!

Zzzzzzz...

It's official! I sleep through the night!...sort of!

Last weekend (Jan. 16th) Mommy was in one of her best friends weddings! (post will come shortly) Friday night Mommy and I spent the night in a hotel with her two other best friends. (Daddy was at work and couldn't come until Saturday) All night Mommy and her friends were joking that they were going to quickly learn what it was like to have a baby...well I showed them! I slept from 11:59 to 6:07!!! Mommy on the other hand got no sleep for fear of rolling over on top of me since it was our first time sharing a bed...and it was only a double!!!

Mommy had a feeling that was only a one time occurrence since 4 hrs. was the longest I have ever gone...and she was right. However, this week I've slept 6 hours every night!!! Mommy still gets up to feed me since I start to sleep between 8 and 10, but, like I always have, I go right back to sleep afterwards!

Here's to sleeping!!!

Dear Eric,

I was going to write a post about your 2 month checkup, however, Mommy just went through all her paper work and she sadly realized she has to go back to work sooner than she thought. As you will one day understand, this is the hardest thing I am ever going to have to do. So instead, I'd like to write to you all the things I am going to miss while I'm at work...

I will miss our conversations. I love when you wake from a nap and you tell me what you just dreamt about.
I will miss your big blue eyes staring up at me when you are feeding.
I will miss the sound of you sucking on the back of your hands. You've recently discovered them and they have been attached to your mouth since!
I will miss our walks.
I will miss attacking your legs as I am changing your diaper.
I will miss you saying Aaa-gooooooo! By the way...that was your very first word!
I will miss when you smile at me as I look over at you.
I will miss kissing your perfect little cheeks over 1,000 times a day.
I will miss the sound of your legs kicking in and out when you are laying on your play mat.
I will miss miss the constant nosies you make though out the day.
I will miss having to look over at you to check if you are OK.
I will miss wiping your mouth when I've noticed you've spit up.
I will miss the little dimples in your knuckles.
I will miss rubbing my cheek on your ever so soft hair.
I will miss you holding my finger.
I will miss your cry.
I will miss the 100 half blinks you do right before you are about to fall asleep.
I will miss laying on the floor next to you as we play with your toys.
I will miss laughing at your tongue when you stick it in and out, in and out, trying to tell me you are hungry!
I will miss staring at you in complete disbelief that you are ours!!!

My afternoons will be quite different without you in them. I will be staring at a computer screen 10% of the work day, and a picture of you 90% of it! As sad as I am for me, I am excited for you. I am excited for you to have the interaction of playing with your two friends Halle and Tyler! You are going to go for walks and spend time playing outside. You will do activities to help you continue to grow. And you will do your most favorite thing of all...sleep! Mommy and Daddy will have such comfort knowing you are 2 minutes down the road from them. And we can't wait to come spend our lunch hours playing with you. Most importantly, we can't wait to go home as a family and hear all about your day!!!

I miss all 13 lbs of you already!

Love,
Mommy

Christmas In Florida!!!

Mommy, Daddy and I flew down to Florida to spend Christmas with Mommy's side of the family! We were there from Dec.23rd - Jan.4th and somehow that just didn't seem long enough :(

In those two short weeks we created so many memories! There are many things we are going to miss. Such as...

The Sun...
When we arrived in Florida it was late at night so I didn't get to feel that Florida sun Mommy and Daddy kept talking about! However, the next morning we got up bright and early and boy did that sun feel good!

My Family...
I got to meet my Auntie Lisa, Uncle Paul, Uncle Wes, cousin Lauren, and cousin Tyler for the very first time! Cousin Lauren was SO nice to me! She would sing "Turn that frown upside down" if I was crying. And she was Mommy's diaper helper every time I had a diaper change! Not only that, but she gave me a nickname as well! She calls me, "Ereeeeek!"

She was so excited to see my Mommy and Daddy again! The entire trip she kept asking them, "Are you the real Uncle and Auntie Jen?"

It was my Mommy and Daddy's first time meeting my cousin Tyler! He was the happiest baby ever! They miss him so much! Especially his scrunch nose!

Christmas Morning...
We had so much fun opening gifts (some more memorable than others *coughs* Camouflage Jacket! hahaha!), listening to Christmas music, eating Grandma's home cooked meals, watching football games, and drinking a lot of water (but only half the bottle! hahaha!)

The Grand Finale!!!
I just learned that every year Grandma and Grandpa have a "Grand Finale" to gift opening! Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Paul, Auntie Lisa, and Uncle Wes love this part because it usually means money in their pockets! However, you do have to earn it!

Me and cousin Tyler had so much fun watching everyone race through hoops, shoot baskets, bowl and steal each others money! Auntie Lisa didn't like that at all and chased my Daddy around the neighborhood to get her money back!

Once we got inside we had a surprise waiting for us! It was our own Christmas tree with some of the most amazing ornaments on it! hahaha! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Our Slumber Parties (even though Lauren hates the word slumber!)

Our Strolls Around The Block...
When Mommy and Daddy visit they always take cousin Lauren for walks around the neighborhood! This year, they were so excited they got to take me with them as well!

As Mommy was walking she noticed cousin Lauren stopped walking. When she looked to see what she was doing she noticed she was standing in front of an American flag saying the Pledge of Allegiance! She had no idea Mommy snapped this picture! *sneaky, sneaky*

Wire Grass?, Water Grass?, Wire Fire?...
I had so much fun at this outdoor mall with everyone! Mommy, Grandma and I went shopping while Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle Paul have fun trying ALL the beer at the Brass Tap bar! Daddy said he had some of the best beer ever there!

The Light Show!
I sure am going to miss getting ready for the light show! It was a lot of fun missing the first one, catching the second one, missing Cosi, going home to eat... no ... eating at Beefs ... no ... going home ... no ...eating at Beefs!!! Hahaha!!! But it was all worth it!!!

Seeing Grammie and Grampa's new house in FL!!!...
Grandma and Grandpa babysat me while Mommy and Daddy went to see Gramie and Grampa's new house in FL!!! They had SO much fun with them and absolutely love the new house! When they came home they told me all about the pool I will one day get to play in!

They then went to Sarasota to spend the day together. They did have beach front reservation at the hotel that they stayed at for their wedding, but Mommy couldn't be without me for that long and canceled them! Daddy made fun of her the entire car ride home! hahaha!

New Years!!!...
Yep! That's how I rang in the new year! hahahaha!!! Uncle Paul had "so much fun" getting the TV ready for us to be able to watch the ball drop! Who am I kidding...he had "so much fun" getting the TV set up for the football games!!!

The night before, Daddy and Uncle Wes went out to Blockbuster and the "store" to get drinks! The famous last words of the night were "We'll be right back!" Two hours later Mommy, Auntie Lisa, and Grandma were nervous when they didn't come home! Turns out Daddy and Uncle Wes went to the Brass Tap (without calling) to try some of the beer Daddy had earlier in the trip! Ooooow!! They were in BIG trouble! hahaha! But they "got us candy!" Ah-hahaha!!!

The Family Photo! ...we all know the rest! hahaha!

Nights Spent As A Family!...
I am going to miss the 4 a.m. pizzas, Entrouage being Uncle Wes's lullaby, more empty liquor bottles, ITunes, FaceBook and Charley!

Charley, the spider that had spikes all over his back, but somehow won over cousin Lauren heart! She fell in love with this spider that was in her back yard and cried and cried and cried when she was told he isn't a pet! She named him Charley and talked about him ALL NIGHT long! She has such a big heart!!!

Having My Head Eaten By Cousin Tyler...
Cousin Tyler tried rice cereal for the very first time! He loved it! Auntie Lisa couldn't move fast enough to get it in his mouth!!! Mommy says I will one day know what that is, but for now I am still going to just drink milk!

What I am NOT going to miss is this day...
The airport back in NY :( It was my very first time in an airplane and Mommy and Daddy said I did SO GOOD! I slept the entire trip (both ways) and drank my milk on the way up and down so my ears didn't get hurt!

Above all I am going to miss...
Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Lisa, Uncle Wes, cousin Lauren, cousin Tyler and Uncle Paul! I love each and everyone of them SO much!!!

I just have one question...has Eagle Eye been returned yet?
