Twinkle Toes!!!
A couple weeks ago I started to take my first steps! (10 1/2 months) When Mommy told my Grandma, she was so excited! She wanted Mommy to waste no time and gave her two jobs to do. One, she wanted a video of me walking. And two, a video of me following Mommy around the house to get a lick of her Popsicle! She thought it was so funny when Mommy told her I do that!
So, Mommy decided to put the two into one! Here you go Grandma!!!
Way to go Eric! We are so proud of you!

Jake Anthony!!!
On Tuesday (Sept. 15) I got to meet another very special person! My new friend Jake Anthony!!!

I presume one day we'll be brother-in-laws, since it's my girlfriend Taryn's new little brother! And I have to say, the idea of that makes me very excited!

Due to the fact that Taryn hands me her toys to play with, and takes my pacifier out of my mouth just so she could give it to me again, I knew she was going to be a great big sister! And I was right!!!

A Very Speical Visit...
On Monday, (Sep. 14) Daddy's college roommate, and Mommy and Daddy's great friend, Mike, came to visit! Mommy was pregnant with me when he left to travel the world, so it was really great getting to meet him for the first time!
It may not look it in this picture, but I had a great time with him! He even let me crawl all over him as he was laying on the floor!

He also brought his great friend Krys! Again, this was me saying goodnight to everyone, so I wasn't very happy, but I also had a great time with him!

It was SO great getting to finally meet you and have Mommy and Daddy spend time with you. One night, to hear all your amazing stories, just wasn't enough!!! We miss you already!!!
My Own Room!!!
The weekend after we got back from Atlanta (Sep. 12-13), we headed to Grammie and Grampa's house!
We got there late Friday night, so I was already sleeping, but boy was I surprised when I woke up Saturday morning! Grammie and Grampa made me my very own room! My walls were painted, I had curtains, tons of new toys, tons of new books, and my very own rocking horse!!!

I had SO much fun playing...and that's exactly what I did! I played, and played, and played!
Afterward, we headed to my Auntie's to check out her new apartment!!! When Mommy and Daddy saw my new room, they were happy for me. When Mommy and Daddy saw Auntie's new place, they were jealous! It sure was nice, as were her roommates, Lauren and Katie, who I had so much fun playing with!

On Sunday, I did a lot of staring at Grammie and Gampa's flag they have hanging outside. Every time I go there, I head straight for the door to stare out at the flag! I love it! As I do all flags!

I also spent lots of time with my Great Nan!!! 4 Generations!!!

Unfortunately, it was time to get back on the road. So we gave lots of kisses until next time!

On the ride home there were beautiful sun rays beaming down. This picture doesn't do it a bit of justice, but it sure was beautiful! Along with silver linings, it's one of Mommy's favorite things!

Thanks again Grammie and Grampa for my amazing room! And for being so thoughtful as to put the ,full circle, slip cover chair my Grandma made in there! Everything about it is so special...as are the both of you!!!

And thank you to Ruby, for being my protector!!!

Georgia On My Mind...
Last weekend (Sep. 4-7), Mommy and Daddy decided to take advantage of their weekend being three days...so we headed to Georgia! It was my very first time there, but by no means my last! My Grandma and Grandpa have a cabin there and I must say, three days was not nearly enough time to spend there!
My Uncle Paul had just visited a few weeks before with his friends, so on Saturday (Sep. 5), we drove to Tennessee to check out some scenic views he told us about. Along the way, we stopped to have lunch and got to see lots of people white water rafting! I went on a stroll with Grandma and Grandpa, while Mommy and Daddy took the back way through the rocks!

After we filled our bellies, it was off to higher lands to look out at Gods work....so we thought! Uncle Paul told us it was a 2 mile drive, but we're thinking the thin air got to him. After approx. 20 miles, we finally got to our destination! This Dam however, was NOT it! At the time we didn't think we were ever going to reach our lookout, so we figured we'd stop and take a picture of the dam in case it was the only thing we were going to get to see!

After we finally got there and looked out at all 3 overlooks...it was well worth the drive!!!

So everyone told me. I fell asleep on the ride and missed the whole thing!

On our way back home we drove around the mountains and saw this rooster coop! It sure was loud! Mommy/Daddy tell me I'm a much nicer alarm clock than all these guys!

Being in the mountains was very different than the life style I'm used to. And I have to say, it's a very welcomed different. It was so peaceful. Seeing the sky lit up at night due to the moon. Hearing the hum of the night air. There's really nothing like it...

So on Sunday, as we were just enjoying staying home for the day, we decided to play a little game...I Spy Eric!?!

Because of all the fun...playing with the flag, Grandma and Grandpa tied at 2 (that's how many times they both woke me up from a peaceful sleep), Grandpa's poison ivy spreading to Mommy face, discovering Mommy had 20 grey hairs, our "scenic" adventure, the movie that was so good no one fell asleep during it, our "rotten egg" meat, to me getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa...these were all things that made leaving so hard.

It all sure wore me out! At least that's what I want everyone to think. Really, I just fell asleep on the ride to the airport so I didn't have to face being so sad that I was having to leave :(

Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa!!! We had an amazing time and love you both SOOOO much!!!
P.S. Sorry I got you sick Grandpa!

10 Months Old!!!

I'm 10 months old today! Here are some of the fun things I do now that I'm 10 months!!!
Yum-
I have expanded my menu of three items, to much much more! And believe it or not, some of it is green! This is a huge deal since anything that color made me gag up until this point!
-Spaghetti
-Sweet Peas
-Broccoli
-Ritz Crackers
-Raviolis
-Licks of Mommy's Popsicle (shhhhh)
-Applesauce
Story Time-
Each night, I sit on Mommy's lap and she reads me my favorite books before I go to bed! Sometimes, if we are out and I'm sad, instead of singing to me, she'll read me "How Big Is Baby Elmo" from memory. It really calms me down, and I then proceed to look at her hands for the book!
-So Big!
-I Udderly Love You
-Goodnight Moon
-Colors
-One To Ten and Back Again
Play Time-
-I've started to bury my head into Mommy/Daddy and blow raspberries on them! This cracks them up!
-I'm starting to let go of things and stand on my own. At times I go down, but Mommy/Daddy have been really impressed with how often I stay up!
-This isn't really Mommy/Daddy's favorite, but I'm starting to climb up on things! They would prefer if that "thing" wasn't my firetruck with 4 wheels!
School-
I have made lots of friends at school. However, there are a few that Mommy/Daddy hear a lot about!
S: Because I was the baby in my class, my good friend S graduated to the next classroom! But I still love tapping on the window to say hi to him! He always comes over and taps on the other side of the glass and we laugh at each other.
N: Unfortunately my good friend N had to leave. His Mommy is now staying home with him!
J: J is my new best friend! All Mommy/Daddy ever hear about is how we follow each other everywhere. If he crawls somewhere, I follow. If I'm playing with a toy, he comes to play with me! Everyone thinks it's the cutest thing ever! Thankfully he is my age so he won't graduate before me!
Discipline-
As many of you saw, I got very sad when Mommy told me No! Because of that, she/Daddy now say "Aah-ah-ahhh" very quickly/loudly if I'm heading towards something that I shouldn't be. This then makes me turn around quickly, and actually get scared of what I was about to go by! So it works and I don't get sad! At times though, I will look back at Mommy/Daddy, back at the cord/move a little closer to the cord/look back at Mommy/Daddy/and again, move closer to the cord. So at times I try and see how serious they are being, but for the most part I listen really well!
Eric, your Great Grandma used to always tell me (and your Auntie Lisa and Uncle Paul) that we brought so much "joy" into her life. Thank you for showing your Daddy and me, exactly what that "joy" is! We love you!!!
