Georgia On My Mind...

Last weekend (Sep. 4-7), Mommy and Daddy decided to take advantage of their weekend being three days...so we headed to Georgia! It was my very first time there, but by no means my last! My Grandma and Grandpa have a cabin there and I must say, three days was not nearly enough time to spend there!

My Uncle Paul had just visited a few weeks before with his friends, so on Saturday (Sep. 5), we drove to Tennessee to check out some scenic views he told us about. Along the way, we stopped to have lunch and got to see lots of people white water rafting! I went on a stroll with Grandma and Grandpa, while Mommy and Daddy took the back way through the rocks!

After we filled our bellies, it was off to higher lands to look out at Gods work....so we thought! Uncle Paul told us it was a 2 mile drive, but we're thinking the thin air got to him. After approx. 20 miles, we finally got to our destination! This Dam however, was NOT it! At the time we didn't think we were ever going to reach our lookout, so we figured we'd stop and take a picture of the dam in case it was the only thing we were going to get to see!

After we finally got there and looked out at all 3 overlooks...it was well worth the drive!!!

So everyone told me. I fell asleep on the ride and missed the whole thing!

On our way back home we drove around the mountains and saw this rooster coop! It sure was loud! Mommy/Daddy tell me I'm a much nicer alarm clock than all these guys!

Being in the mountains was very different than the life style I'm used to. And I have to say, it's a very welcomed different. It was so peaceful. Seeing the sky lit up at night due to the moon. Hearing the hum of the night air. There's really nothing like it...

So on Sunday, as we were just enjoying staying home for the day, we decided to play a little game...I Spy Eric!?!

Because of all the fun...playing with the flag, Grandma and Grandpa tied at 2 (that's how many times they both woke me up from a peaceful sleep), Grandpa's poison ivy spreading to Mommy face, discovering Mommy had 20 grey hairs, our "scenic" adventure, the movie that was so good no one fell asleep during it, our "rotten egg" meat, to me getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa...these were all things that made leaving so hard.

It all sure wore me out! At least that's what I want everyone to think. Really, I just fell asleep on the ride to the airport so I didn't have to face being so sad that I was having to leave :(

Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa!!! We had an amazing time and love you both SOOOO much!!!

P.S. Sorry I got you sick Grandpa!
