Just like June and July, August started off with another birthday! This time it was cousin Lauren's!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!!!
This party however, was a wee bit different then the others...it was a surprise party! We had so much fun setting up! And couldn't wait to see her reaction!
She's Here! Quick! Hide!
Surprise!!!
Her party with friends wasn't for another few days, so her surprise consisted of family! That didn't matter one bit to this amazing 9 year old! She had the most amazing time!
It wasn't long before a very Happy Birthday call came in from Uncle Paul and Auntie Kelly!
While the little ones played, the adults talked about writing and screen plays! :)
Dance Party!!!
Let's Eat!!!
Yet another amazing cake made by Auntie Lisa!
Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday Dear Lauren! Happy Birthday To You!!!
Make a wish big girl!!!
Sooooo good!!! I could have finished the cake off myself it was that good!!!
Present time!!!
Zoom! Zoom! Zoom!
We Love You Birthday Girl!!! Thank you for being as amazing as you are!!!
GOOD LUCK AUNTIE!!!
Aunite had a test coming up that she studied a very long time for! So we decide to make her a good luck sign! Good news...SHE PASSED!!! Way to go Auntie!!! We are proud of you!!!
JOE'S BACHELOR PARTY!!!
Daddy was so excited to head back up North to go to Joe's Bachelor party! Joe's Getting Married!!! Ahhhhh!!!!
Since it's not every day we have the opportunity to visit back North, Daddy decided to extend his stay and visit NY while he was there! First stop, the Bruno's!!!!
How lucky was Daddy to get to hang out with these three sillies! And to eat the best BBQ in town! And to hang out with friends that came to visit! And to stay up all hours of the night with his partner in crime! And to see my Ally!!!
Though it was a quick visit, it was a perfect visit! And he was very sad to leave these three cuties!!! Thanks for making his stay an awesome one!!!
Next stop...the Simmons's!!!
There's no better lunch date than this little guy! Not to mention, the big guy and girl he got to have lunch with are pretty perfect as well! Yet another perfect visit! So perfect, little Ben didn't want to let Daddy head to MA! And the feeling was mutual!
This is where one would usually have pictures of the Bachelor Party! But something tells me if the boys attempted to take any photos that night, they'd be somewhat on the blurred side! Just like their memories were the following morning! Hahahaha!
Though Mommy was very jealous of Daddy's trip so far, we too were having a great time with Grandma and Grandpa while Daddy was away! Here was some of our fun!!!
We laughed over our salt and pepper shaker breaking and ruining half our squash!
We golfed!
Some of us attempted to get away with watching TV this close! Unfortunately for them, their plan didn't work!
We were taught how to do some Math problems that cousin Lauren was learning in school! She's such a great teacher!
We played games!
We sent Auntie Lisa this gem while she was away vacationing! Sara getting into her American Girl stuff that she purposely put up high since Sara's been known to ruin a few of the pieces!
Mommy can pass up a donut from all places except one...Krispy Kreme! A donut is not a donut unless it's from the amazing Krispy Kreme! And that's the exact reason Grandma and Mommy decided it was time to introduce Eric and Sara to the perfection! Ok, maybe it had a bit to do with the fact that they were craving a bite or two, or three, of that perfection!
These two couldn't agree more with us! Eric more so than Sara, but more than anything, we had so much fun there!
To say the kids loved the hats as much as the donuts would be an understatement! Eric even wore his to take a nap! (which shows just how behind I am on this blog since they haven't napped for about 4 months now! Hahaha!)
He even wore it out to dinner later that night! And yes, we entered into this storm for some food! What were we thinking!?!?!
While Daddy was away Sara did some relaxing to Mickey Mouse!
And Mommy caught Grandpa doing Sara's hair which was the cutest thing ever!
And just like she does when Daddy is in town, Sara was being Sara! Our stylist!
We got together with team cuz and spent some time hanging out at the mall!
And to make the day that much cooler, we got together with Uncle Paul and Uncle Kelly and went to the movies!
And it was here that the most hysterical moment of my life took place! All thanks to Grandma!!! "Shhhh, shhhh, it's OK, it's OK!" As she blindly rubs all over a little girl (thinking it Lauren) due to the fact that it's completely dark in the theater! "Mom! Mom! No! That's not us!" Unfortunately my attempt to save Grandma from humiliation failed and she proceeded to SIT on the little girl! Oh, a moment I will never forget! Almost had to leave the theater I was laughing so hard! I can only imagine what the little girls Mom was thinking when she opened her eyes (yes, she feel asleep during the movie!) and saw some strange woman sitting on her daughter! Classic moment indeed!!!
We built big towers...
and had lots of picnics!
And last but not least, we built lots of cozy spots to watch movies in!
We had such a great time, as did Daddy! But we were definitely excited to see each other again! We missed each other soooo much! And what a fun surprise to see Daddy had presents with him! Happy Bachelor Party Joe!!! And thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the great time we had!!!
AUNTIE!
Later in the month we were excited to have a visit from AUNTIE!!! We had so much fun hanging out, being silly, and simply spending time with one another! We love you Auntie!
And just like June and July, August was filled with friends and play dates!!!
August, what a fun month you were! Thanks! :)
