Birthday Party With Friends!!!

Eric was so so so excited to have all his friends over to help him celebrate his birthday!  He helped with the balloons, picking out the favors, and setting the table!  Only thing left to do...party!!!

Question was...was the fun going to be held inside or outside?

Plan A:  Set up the bounce house and throw tons of water balloons!  But because the forecast called for rain, though it hadn't rained in a good couple months, we decided to come up with plan B.  And thankfully we did!  Just take a look out that window!  It didn't rain, it poured!!!

Plan B:  Set up the garage and toy room and have everyone play indoors!!!  Originally I was so bummed everything had to be inside, but after seeing the smiles on these two and everyone else, I was perfectly happy with plan B!  

Though they were having a blast playing, no one complained when we told them it was time to head on in for some birthday cake and ice cream!!!

But first, it was time to put their party hats on!  Great idea Mimi!

Happy Birthday To You!  Happy Birthday To You!  Happy Birthday Dear Eric!  Happy Birthday To You!  Make a wish!!!

Needless to say, the second, and I mean the very second everyone left, the sun came out and decided it wanted to be a beautiful day!  

However, like we always say, everything happens for a reason!  After seeing the fun they had, it looks as if plan B should have been plan A from the beginning!  

Since we decided to have the party in the morning on a weekday, Daddy wasn't able to be there :(  But Mimi was!  She helped out so much!  And had a great time celebrating with us!  We can't thank you enough for all your help Mimi!  We love you!!!

Though Daddy said not to, we were going to wait to open all the gifts for when he got home since he couldn't be at the party, but the temptation was too much!  Once his friends left, he was ready to start the unwrapping!  And once he was given the go ahead, that's just what he did!

He loved each and every gift!  But he more so loved the time he had with everyone!  He talked about it for days, and we couldn't be more thankful to everyone for making it such a wonderful day for him!

What a wonderful day it was!  We had so much fun planning it, and even more fun living it!  Happy 4th Birthday Eric!  We Love You!
