Traditions are great! We especially love the one where we head to our annual Easter Egg Hunt!!!
Well, I guess 'hunt' isn't really the word for it :) Oh the temptation...
And we're off!!!
Once we gathered as many eggs can that could fit in our baskets, came the really fun part! Seeing what treats the Easter Bunny surprised us with!!!
Turns out, the Easter Bunny wasn't the only one who had a surprise for us. Uncle Paul and Kelly did as well! They asked Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Lisa, and Uncle Wes to be in their wedding! Like we did our candy/toys the Easter Bunny left us, they all gladly accepted!!!!!!
We were so excited to ride the ponies again this year! But we feel cousin Lauren may have been the most excited! This year they had a very special white pony with pink hair! It's not everyday you get to ride a pony that looks like this!
Before filling our bellies with lunch, Sara and I decided to get a couple quick belly drops on the swings!
Grandma and Grandpa are here!!! Grandma and Grandpa are here!!!
This year Grandma and Grandpa arrived a little later than everyone else. Grandpa hadn't been feeling very well. Turns out he had bronchitis which made his asthma act up as well, but at the time we didn't know what was wrong :(
The bond between Grandpa and Sara is something very special...as is Sara's heart! But this moment was unlike any other moment they have shared. When Grandpa arrived, Sara went right over to him and gave him the biggest, longest, most gentle hug. It was unlike any other hug she has ever given him. It was as if she knew something wasn't right, and was telling him everything was going to be OK. It was a very special moment to witness!
We got to meet the Easter Bunny! It was a lot of fun, however, I think Sara was still wishing she was in Papa's arms, not the Easter Bunnies! :)
Not only was it great to have the family together for Easter, but it was also great that we got to celebrate all the birthday's that took place around that time!
Auntie Lisa, Uncle Wes, and Kelly all go to blow out a candle and make their birthday wishes! A candle that Grandpa was very nervous to light (notice the biting of his nails) Not for fear of fire, but for fear of getting kicked out of the restaurant for lighting a candle! Hahaha! Silly Grandpa!
It was also here that Uncle Paul surprised Grandpa with asking him to be his Best Man in the wedding! What a special lunch indeed!
While Sara and Grandpa decided to cool off by the pool...
the rest of the kiddies headed to the park! :)
Family photo time!!!
Another wonderful Easter, spent with the most wonderful people!!!
