I'm 9 months old!!! When Mommy and Daddy woke to wish me a happy 9 months, they sure were surprised to see me standing with a big smile on my face! (No, Mommy does not sleep with her camera by her bedside...Daddy was nice enough to grab it for her! haha!)
I pretty much try and pull up on everything I can get my hands on. I've been doing a great job at pulling to my knees, so they were very surprised to see I had made it all the way to my feet!!!
I've pretty much mastered crawling. I'm fast...very fast! When Mommy and Daddy are in another room, they are sure to keep an ear out for me. When they hear me start to breath really hard with excitement, and my hands patting quickly on the floor, they know they need to move quick. This is a sure sign I am heading for something that I should NOT be crawling to...and I usually have a big smile on my face as I am doing it!!! (I love the remote control, computer scanner, computer chair, Daddy's work bag, Daddy's belt, phone, touch lamp, and DVD's. Basically, anything that's not a toy of mine!)
There is not one thing about being changed that I enjoy! I cry through the entire process. And if that's not enough to get Mommy and Daddy to stop...I add a squirm to the cry!!! Mommy and Daddy were some what OK with this since they only have to do it two times a day, however, I've now decided I hate my diaper being changed as well. And we all know that happens WAY MORE than two times a day!!!
My two teeth are really starting to show! Mommy and Daddy think it adds a nice touch to my already precious smile! However, I've yet to want to use my teeth. Puffs/Cheerios are the only solid foods I eat right now. Mommy will try to slip some banana in a bite of my baby food, but I reach right in my mouth, take out the banana, and continue enjoying the rest of the food. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon!!! Especially since I have a new high chair to hang out in while I practice. (Now that I'm on the move, my Bumbo just didn't cut it anymore!)
I'm constantly practicing my waving! Just this morning I was waving, but then I caught a glimpse of my hand moving, stared at it for a second, and then put it in my mouth!!! So I'm easily distracted :)
Mommy and Daddy are SO proud of my accomplishment this past month! They love that I am so curious! They love that I love to explore! They love that I'm starting to express that there are things I like, and things I don't like! They love that I love to roll on the floor and wrestle with them! And that I love music! I'm no longer the little baby that couldn't lift his own head. As sad as they are that it seems I'm growing so quickly, they are enjoying each second that they get to watch me become my own!
We love you Eric!
(I'll update your weight once you have your 9 month Dr. appointment)

Happy 9 months, Eric! You're getting so big!
Such a cute reminder of how quickly they grow. Enjoy these squirmy drooly times. They will be gone before you know it.
