Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Memorial Day weekend this year was spent outdoors with family, all while remembering all those who have, and still do, fight for our country!

Memorial Day Parade!!!
We were excited to hear there was going to be a Memorial Day parade not too far from us! So we headed on over and boy are we glad we did! The kids had an absolute blast!!!

They made and ate snow cones!

Watched and cheered on as firetrucks, cars, band members, and Veterans walked past!

They got their faces painted as a beautiful butterfly, a super hero batman, and as black and pink creepy spiders!!!

They waived their flags with pride as the parade passed by!

They raced!

Made bracelets!

And danced their little hearts out!!!

Some of us, in shape, parade goers decided to do an Insanity workout prior to going, and needed a little rest! Hahaha!

While others were off finding the perfect shoes to buy for Auntie Kelly! "Mommy, Auntie Kelly would LOVE these shoes!"

Afterward, it was time to head home...

and make us up some S'mores!!!

No day is ever too big for these kids! It was in the pool they went for some of the best type of swimming there is...night swimming!!!

Memorial Day Boat Ride!
The next morning, Daddy and I came up with an idea that, maybe wasn't as great as the parade idea was! We decided to take everyone out on the boat tour that we previously went on and loved!

It was a beautiful Memorial Day weekend day! The skies were clear and the boats were out! Thus, causing the waters to be choppy! Uh-oh!

Everyone was having a great time! The kids loved looking out at the waters!

They even spotted a few Dolphins!

And they absolutely couldn't wait to see what types of fish they brought up from the bottom of the ocean!!!

They loved exploring all the different sea creatures! And we were all super excited to see they caught a...

Puffer Fish!!! This is such an amazing fish! They fill themselves with water to poof up and scare predators away! Only problem, they can only hold their breath for so long, so sooner or later they start to squirt the water out of their mouth as they lose their breath!

And that's just what happened to Lauren as she went to touch him! Squirt! :)

On our ride back we were happy to see more Dolphins!

And we even had fun making Puffer Fish faces!!!

No one however, was as excited as Auntie Lisa was to finally be back on land! She was sick from beginning to end! Her equilibrium was so thrown off, she was motion sick for days! :( Sorry Auntie Lisa!!! We love you! Thanks for being such a trooper through it all!!! Next year, no boat ride! We promise!!!

What a great long weekend, remembering all those who've served/currently serving!
