Myakka!

Why spend the day inside, when it's so beautiful outside!

That's exactly how we decided to spend the day, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors! So we headed to...

MYAKKA!

We had a bit of time before out boat tour started, so we headed out on a nature trail!

It was here we found this really cool tree house! Though it was cool, it was a bit scary! Well, at least it was for one of the four of us! This bridge was high, and this bridge was wobbly!

Especially when you have two very excited kids jumping and running across it! Hahaha! Seeing their excitement was SO worth the sweaty palms!

Once you crossed the bridge, there was no place to go but many stories higher to a look out, or down! Without letting the kids know why, Mommy chose down, while the brave ones chose the look out! Hahaha! It actually worked out for the best because they had a ton of fun waiving down to me!

See that very very small speck on the top of the look out, that would be Daddy!

While they headed down, I had fun taking a couple photos of the really cool yellow fields of flowers that were everywhere!

Boat Tour!

We were so excited for our boat tour! It was so peaceful out on the river. It was great seeing the different types of birds that surrounded the area, as well as the gators that swam the water!

Next we headed over to an area that was great for bird watching!

It was fun walking down the trail. And I'm sure on some days it really is great for bird watching...

...but not on this day! We didn't watch much of anything... except for this one dragon fly that was hanging around! Hahaha!

Oh, and Eric kept finding these crazy spiders! Shiver!

Though we didn't spot too many birds, it was pretty amazing to listen to the complete silence the world brings when you are away from it all. It was really nice to spend the day listening to it, and taking in the beauty!

TURTLE BEACH!

Since we were pretty close to Turtle Beach, we decided, why not go check it out as well!

Our luck with turtles was no better than our luck with birds! We didn't really expect to see any since we didn't even know if May was the time of year for them, but we gave it a shot none the less! Turtles or not, it was great to see a different beach with some pretty interesting sand!

Daddy's Girl!

Afterward Daddy decided it was a great time to introduce us to a restaurant he'd recently eaten at with work! It was delicious, and needless to say, we've been back a bunch since!

I mean seriously! There are no words for these two! No words! Just total and complete love!

On our walk back to the car, Eric found this huge shark! And Daddy found this Ice Cream shop we once saw featured on one of our favorite shows...Shark Tank!!!

Though we had already stopped at a different ice cream shop for dessert 10 minutes earlier, we just had to give this a try! It's frozen right and front of you! Fun to watch them make and fun to eat!

Double dessert...a pretty perfect way to end a pretty perfect day!
