Mother's Day was not just celebrated on Mother's Day this year, it was celebrated all weekend!!!
It started just the way it should, by celebrating the best Mom and friend anyone could ask for!
We Love You And Thank You For Everything, Mom!!!
Mother's Day!
If we were going by past boat experiences, I was most likely going to spend Mother's Day the color green as the motion of the water rocked the boat! But these two smiling faces who make me a Mother, make me beyond happy each and every day! I just knew this boat ride would make them so happy since they'd be able to explore their love for the ocean, so it's exactly how I wanted to spend my Mother's Day! Exploring the ocean with my family!
All Aboard!!!
The kids loved searching for manatees and dolphins! Unfortunately they didn't spot any manatees, but they did find a few dolphins jumping around! According to them, it was Dolphin Tale!
Sara even met a new friend on the boat! He was so friendly, not to mention, helpful! He kept helping her with her fly away hat! Haha!
Along with dolphins, we saw some very big homes! As well as homes with fun art work in their back yard for everyones entertainment!
Uninhabited Island!
The boat made a little stop on this island where we got to explore as they educated everyone on the different trees around!
Eric believed there was a bear on this island, so we set out to see if he was right!
We personally think Eric was right, but unfortunately there was no bear sighting this time around! Maybe next ;)
Nesting Habitat!
Next we took a stroll around the nesting habitat to so many birds! The protected trees were literally covered in hundreds of birds, their nests, and their babies! It was pretty neat to see!
Fishing!
Next was the part we were all excited for...fishing! They slow the boat down, throw out a net, and pull all sorts of cool sea creatures onto the boat for all to see!
While the net was lowered, we hung out, and saw silly boats with palm trees on them!
Sea Creatures!!!
What lies beneath the ocean is really fascinating! Eric and Sara loved this part! As did Mommy and Daddy!!! Such cool creatures! And these were caught in just 6 feet of water! Crazy to think what lies in the deep ocean!
Eric and Sara both had absolutely no fear and touched and held each and every thing that was passed around!!!
Thankfully they decided against touching the cactus we saw on the way out! :)
I am happy to report there was no motion sickness on this Mother's Day! It was nothing but the most perfect way to spend Mother's Day! Thank you Daddy for all the special things you did for me on this special day! And thank you Eric and Sara for making me the happiest Mommy around!
