Happy 2nd Birthday Sara!!!

We celebrated the Mrs. birthday a bit early this year- August 25th! Reason being...there was no better time to celebrate, then both sides of the family being together!

Surprise!!!

Though it was Sara's birthday, we all got a present...Auntie!!! She flew down from Chicago to help Sara celebrate turning 2, and surprised us all! And yes, she popped up out of Mimi and Papa's trunk! No worries, they made sure no one was looking when she shut herself in the trunk down the street, so no police were called! Hahaha! (This was a reenactment of the surprise!)

Everyone (most everyone) was together for Sara's birthday! Not only did it feel amazing, but we couldn't be more thankful!

Mimi and Grampa wanted to make sure everyone felt special on Sara's birthday, so they got a little gift for all the little ones! Thanks Mimi and Grampa!

Bubble Time!!!

Afterward, it was time to fill up their little bellies...

...they were going to need all the energy they could get to pop these water balloons!

When we decided to have water balloons, we were simply thinking of the fun it would be for the kids. Little did we know how much fun it would be for us as well! Watching them was the best! The laughter that came out of them...was simply priceless!

And since we were all wet, why not jump in the pool!

They all found the worlds smallest frog! A frog that took a liking to Eric's foot! Hahaha!

Give Sara the choice between a cookie, and any other treat you can think of, her answer will ALWAYS be...COO-KIE! And that's exactly what we gave our birthday girl for her birthday "cake!" A cookie!

Ask Sara what her favorite color is, and you will always get the same answer...BLUE! And she loved every bite of her blue frosting!!!

"What's in here!?!" seemed to be the question of the day! The wait to find out was over...It's Present Time!!!

She got so many great gifts! From a baby bath, to a Lego set! She loved both, and everything between!

Even her bumble bee outfit!

However, she didn't quite enjoy the process of dressing up as much as cousin Lauren did!

Once our little bee was dressed, she was good to go! And continued to play with all her new toys!

She even enjoyed scratching off her lotto ticket :)

She won $2.00! That's before Mommy took that $2.00 and had her pick out another card with it! She then won $4.00! That was until Mommy took that $4.00 and had her pick out yet another card with it! She then won $0.00 :( Sorry Sara! Mommy owes you $4!!! Hahaha!

And time to say good-bye to everyone :( We had such a great time celebrating Sara turning 2, no one wanted to leave!

As they drove away, Eric did was Eric does best, and watched the wheels of the car turn!

The day of surprises wasn't over just yet! Grampa surprised us with the news that he...RETIRED!!! Congratulations Grampa! You deserve every second of it!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
