Cannon Ball!!!

Number one on our to do list this summer...swim lessons!  They both absolutely love to be in the pool, so it was time for them to officially learn to swim! 

Eight 30 minutes classes. This should be easy...right? Wrong! Turns out swimming with Mommy and Daddy is a LOT more fun than with their swim instructor!  Here's how it went.

July 9th (Day 1): We heard Eric's cries from the front of the house for the entire 30 minutes. Sara was perfect.

July 10th (Day 2): Eric spent the first 5 minutes hiding behind a flower pot so no one could put him in the pool. As well as screamed the entire 30 minutes. Sara was now crying the entire 30 minutes as well.

We were told by other parents that day three is the magical day and they suddenly love being there. And the swim teacher swore in her 20 years she's never 'not' taught a child to swim. We had a hard time believing either of these two things!!!

July 11th (Day 3): Eric was asking if he could stay longer and was putting his head under the water. His head going under was HUGE for him since he had a big fear of it. And Sara was still a bit scared.

July 12th (Day 4): Eric and Sara both loved it!

We could't believe they were right! We may have a couple more grey hairs due to the first 2 days, but man are we glad we stuck it out! They LOVE swimming and are having so much fun with it now that they don't have to hold onto us any more!!! And we can feel a bit safer with them in the water now that they are more comfortable with it!!!

ERIC'S SWIM JOURNEY!!!

Day 3 of swim lessong! He's putting his head under without crying!!! Amazing!!!

After the first week of lessons, Daddy taught him to swim across the jacuzzi!!!

Shortly after, he was brave enough to jump in without us catching him! Though he had to give himself a little pep talk every now and then! "I can do it!" Hahaha!!!

This was taken just recently. Just about two months after their last swim lesson. He's getting strong enough to come up for a breath! WAY TO GO ERIC!!!

SARA'S SWIM JOURNEY!!!

Day 3 of swim lessons!!! She is going under and not crying when she comes up!!!

After her last day of swim lessons, Daddy taught her to swim across the jacuzzi as well!!!

And they LOVE jumping in and saying...Cannon Ball!!!  Sara's swim lessons were a little bit too good!  She now has no fear and believes she's a fish!  Hahaha!  Thankfully she is now a lot better at getting our attention before swimming to us, instead of just going!
WAY TO GO SARA!!!  

Sara loves jumping in and saying Cannon Ball so much, we even caught her doing it while she played in her crib!  Such a silly girl!!!  Hahaha!

WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR LITTLE FISH!!!  ALTHOUGH, I'M SURE ERIC WOULD PREFER TO BE CALLED A SHARK SINCE HE HAS A LOVE FOR THEM!!!
