Sara's 9 Months! And Eric's 2 1/2 Years!

SARA!
A week ago today she turned 9 months!!!

She did a beautiful job at her Dr.'s appointment! And we are more than happy to report she is as happy and healthy as they come! She now weighs 18 lbs 11 oz and is 28 inches long!

Our little Mrs. who doesn't cry has finally found something to cry about. She has become quite attached to Mommy and Daddy. If someone else is holding her, we can be no where in sight! Her little whimper for us is very cute! :)

No more Gerber for this big girl! She has fully moved onto big girl food and is loving every bite of it! We've yet to give her anything she doesn't like. As a matter of fact, if you're not careful, she'll sneak food right off your plate! Eric knows this all too well!

She now holds her own bottle! When she's sitting up she prefers you do it, but when she's reclined, she enjoys feeding herself!

She's pulling herself up to her knees! She hasn't made it to her feet yet, but we can tell it's soon to come!

She loves to sleep on her belly! Though, she hasn't stuck her little butt up in the air yet. ;) And she prefers sleeping on her left side far more than her right!

She loves to wave hello and goodbye to people! Her little fingers moving hi and bye is the cutest thing ever!

She is over the top friendly! She loves to reach out to touch someones face as they are saying hi to her, and when they lean in to get in her reach, she gets shy and cuddles her head in our shoulders! So adorable!

She recently switched to a big girl car seat! Unfortunately, it's much bigger than her convertible one, so she can no longer see Eric. Somehow that doesn't stop them from playing with one another, and will still laugh back and forth at each other!

She is getting so much hair! It looks like she is going to take after Mommy's hair... it has a definite wave to it! ;)

She loves Eric's markers! Sitting in front of his art cubby is her favorite place to hang out and play!

Sara Bean, we couldn't possibly love you more than we do! You enjoy every second of life, and we enjoy every second of you in our lives! Thank you for being you!!!

ERIC!
Last month he turned 2 1/2 years old!!!

Eric also did a beautiful job at his last Dr.s appointment! We are also very happy to report that he is as happy and healthy as they come as well! He now wights 28 lbs 10 oz and is 35 3/8 inches tall!

He was such a brave boy at the Dr's. He had to have his blood drawn from his arm which was a traumatizing ordeal for us all. But he handled it like a champ! We are happy to report that his iron level is perfect (it's been low in the past)! However, we were heat broken to find out he was apparently bitten by a tick and has Lyme. He is on antibiotics for a month and after that she said he should be good to go! We are very thankful to have discovered this very early, and that our little man is going to be, and is, just perfect!

It may look it in the picture above, but Mr. does not like to have his hair cut! The entire time he'll brush you off and say, "My hair!"

His new obsession...flash cards! He carries them everywhere and loves to, "play cards" (Uncle Matt taught him that game!) He's doing great with them! He can find every picture you ask him to find! He's also doing such a great job with his letters. When going through them he'll say "E" for everything. Like, "E, Apple", "E, House", "E, Igloo". However, he does know the letters, A, I, and O!

He loves the grocery store!

He's added "Mom" and "Dad" to his list of names to call us. So it's Mom, Mama, Mommy and Dad, Dada, and Daddy! We have no idea where he got it from! The only thing we can think of is when we talk about our parents we'll use Mom and Dad :)

He loves to flip his paci up under his nose! If it's in his mouth, it's flipped under his nose! He's allowed to have it to sleep, on our drives to Boston, and to watch movies. (We don't bring it to school for him, so we know he can sleep/live without it)

His all time favorite animal is a Rooster! He loves them! As a matter of fact, he once had a very short lived imaginary Rooster friend. Though he only came out when he was in trouble..."The rooster did it!"

If he get's upset at something, his new favorite thing to say is, "I'm Not, Happy!" It cracks us up!

For the first time ever, he recently had a couple weeks of showing jealousy towards Sara. If someone was saying hi to her, he'd go up and push/hit her. This would then cause the attention to be on him- even if it was bad attention. We were sensitive to his feelings, but at the same time, we let him know this was not acceptable. We are thankful to report he's made HUGE progress and this very rarely shows to be an issue any more!

He's very polite! If you say, "God bless you" after he sneezes, he says the cutest, "Tank you!" afterward. And he's starting to understand the word sorry! Just yesterday as we were playing cards, he threw his arms up with excitement. As he did, he got me in the face. Not a second later he turned to me and said, "Sorry, Mama!" Such a polite boy!!!

Snuggs! You know when Eric's about to fall asleep when he throws Snuggs over his head! Each and every time, up and over his head Snuggs goes, and soon after he's fast asleep!

Eric, Daddy and I are not quite sure where they got the term "terrible two's". You are the most fun 2 1/2 year old ever! You are loaded with personality, and just like you are obsessed with your cards, we are obsessed with you! Thank you for being you!!!
