Tuesday morning, I woke up thinking I was heading to school to play with my friends, and Mommy thought she was heading to work, but Daddy had a different plan in mind. He was sneaky and took the days off of work so we could spend it at the Bronx Zoo for Mommy's b-day! When we were in Chicago, Mommy was so excited to take me to the zoo but it rained...hard! So this was a VERY nice surprise!!!
We got to see so many fun animals!!! For the most part, I just enjoyed being outside, while Mommy and Daddy had tons of fun looking at the cool animals. I did however, really enjoy watching the sea lions play and jump out of the water.
We even saw Lions and Camels!!!
We spent tons of time looking at all the cool birds!
This poor guy was missing half his beak. Mommy asked someone who worked there if they rescued him, but they said years back he had a sinus infection. Poor thing :( The good news is, he is doing much better now!
Half way through the day we started to feel our bellies get hungry, so we went inside and grabbed some lunch!
Once we walked out, we noticed things weren't quite as bright as when we walked in. Hmmmmm....maybe Daddy should have left the second umbrella Mommy packed in the diaper bag!!! Famous last words: We don't need all these. There's not going to be a cloud in the sky today!!!
I was nice and dry, cozy, and sleeping through the entire storm. However, when I woke, it looked like Mommy and Daddy weren't as lucky! Mommy was laughing SO hard that she could hardly breath. Daddy on the other hand, he sure was wishing he had that second umbrella! hahahaha!!! Thanks for the amazing day Daddy, I had a great time playing hookie with you and Mommy!!!
