6 Months Old!!!

Wow! Today I am 6 months old!!! 6 months!!! Mommy and Daddy feel it was just yesterday that they were bringing me home from the hospital! *sigh*

Today they thought it would be fun to reenact a picture they took of me when I was going home from the hospital. So they took out my pants (obviously they were VERY new at being parents being they brought pants that were the length of my entire body) and put my onesie back on me.

THEN

NOW

Hmmm...I've seem to have lost some color over the past 6 months! hehehe!!!

Mommy and Daddy find it pretty amazing how quickly I pick up new tricks. Just the other day they realized it wasn't really necessary to help me sit up anymore! I was doing all the work myself!!! Here's a video of me in action. It was taken a couple days ago, Mommy and Daddy tell me I've already gotten much better!!!

I still love to play!!! I love when Mommy and Daddy pretend to walk away and quickly turn around and jump at me! I also love when they wave a pillow to make a breeze blow at me!!! That's what Daddy is doing in this video! (I leave you a little treat at the end! My little move is one of Mommy's favorite things I do!)

I now sleep on both of my sides. Until a few days ago, I'd only sleep on my right side (or back). However, Mommy and Daddy have noticed I've been on my left a few times.

They've also noticed I've put my pacifier back in my mouth lately. For a while I've been able to put every part, but the right one, in my mouth. But a few times now I've put it in the right way!!!

I still love my oatmeal. However, that's about all I love. Mommy and Daddy have tired to give me carrots (thumbs down), bananas (thumbs down), and sweet potatoes (thumbs down). The only way I'll eat those, is if I have a sip of my bottle in between bites, or a bite of oatmeal in between bites. (Mommy once tired putting the bananas in my oatmeal, but I was WAY too smart for that!!!) Tomorrow morning I am going to try peaches. I'll let you know how that goes!

Eric, we're not sure how much you weigh this month (your Dr. appointment is in a week), but I can sure tell you that Daddy and I love every ounce of you!!!

I'm Baptized!!!

The weekend of April 19th was very special! I got baptized!!! My Uncle Paul flew all the way from Florida to be part of my special day. Mommy and Daddy asked if he would be my God Father and he gladly accepted!

Mommy took a couple days off of work to spend time with us! We had so much fun going for walks and playing in the park! We had lots to catch up on since it had been almost 3 months since my Uncle Paul had seen me!

On Saturday we drove to Boston where Daddy and my Uncle Paul went to a Red Sox game with Jeff and Eric! They had SO much fun! Even though my Unlce Paul says GO YANKEES! he was very excited he got to see Fenway Park!!!

Sunday morning Mommy got me dressed for my big day!!! I slept through most of the baptism...but...

Mommy and Daddy woke me just in time for the pouring of the Holy Water!

I'm Baptized!!! Mommy and Daddy wanted to be sure to get a picture with the Priest. His name happened to be Father Paul! hehehe!

Here I am with my God Parents, Auntie L and Uncle Paul! I love them SOOOO much!! (even though they both decided to wear green! hahahaha)

My Gramie, Grampa, Auntie, Great Nan, Uncle John, Aunt Marilyn, Jeff, Dina, and Eric also came to be part of my speical day! Mommy and Daddy were so thankful for everyone!!!

Afterwards we all headed to Carrabbas for a nice dinner! Our waiters name...Paul!

Thank you everyone for making my day such a special one! My Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Lisa, Uncle Wes, Cousin Lauren and Tyler couldn't make it due to distance...but we sure were thinking of them!!! We love you all!!!

5 Months Old!!!

Or shall I say, 5 3/4 months old! I'm a bit behind on my 5 month update due to the fact that I've been so busy learning new things each and every day! Here's what I've been up to this month!

WHEN I GROW UP!!! (A few things Mommy and Daddy think I'm going to be!)
1) An artist! Earlier this month when Mommy visited me at school, I was very busy strapped to my highchair painting a picture! Later that night, the proof was all over my hands for Daddy to see!

2) A musician! Every Tuesday Mr. L comes to visit me at school and sings us so many songs! It's my favorite day of the week! However, my favorite song is one my Mommy and Daddy sing me...The ABC's. If I'm crying it often calms me down. However, by the time they get to the letter "U", I like them to start the song over!

3) An engineer! I study every little thing! (Mommy likes to call me Curious George) Sometimes when I'm in my swing, I like to watch the part of the machine that swings more than anything else!

4) A basketball player! (or soccer!) I don't blink when it's on TV! Just tonight Mommy tried feeding me, but I was too busy turning my head to get a better view of the Celtics/Bulls game!

5) A comedian. Mommy and Daddy laugh so hard at everything I do...it must mean I'm a pretty funny guy!

RUB-A-DUB-DUB!!!
Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to buy me my very first tub. Daddy picked me out a very special one in the shape of a Whale! All day Mommy was counting down the minutes until she got out of work so we could try it out. The second we got home, in the tub I went! Boy oh boy did I scream! It was a cry like no other! Day two didn't go any better. Mommy got smart on day three and decided to fill my tub with water "after" I was in it. This seemed to work! It's been a couple weeks now and I love my new tub! I just sit back, relax, and enjoy my link toys!

RiceCereal, YUCK!...Oatmeal, YUM!
Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to introduce me to Rice Cereal. I on the other hand had a different plan...like spitting everything out as it went in my mouth! After 3 days of trying, they decided to move me onto Oatmeal instead. It took a few bites for me to realize it wasn't Rice Cereal, however, now that I know, I inhale it!!! Mommy can't move fast enough for my liking! (below is my first time trying the rice cereal)

NEW TRICKS!
1) I just recently started to answer to my name!

2) I like to hold my bottle as I'm drinking. Mommy and Daddy still hold it with me, but I like to think I'm doing it all by myself!

3) This is a not so good trick, but recently I've been pretty scared of people. If I meet too many people at once, and they are trying to get me to smile, I do the exact opposite. I put a huge frown on my face that is followed by a very loud cry. Mommy and Daddy tell me I have nothing to be scared of and that usually makes me feel better.

4) Raspberries! I'm pretty sure I learned this by spitting out my rice cereal, but one day I decided to copy my Auntie and blow Raspberries at her!

Eric, as you can see you've been up to a lot lately! Thank you for your constant entertainment! We love all 16 lbs 10 oz. of you!!!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Easter Weekend!

Boy, I sure do like these things my Mommy and Daddy call Holidays!!! This past weekend I had my very first Easter!!! Mommy and Daddy tell me it's a very special Holiday, and I'd have to say I agree!

My Grammie, Grampa, and Auntie came to visit me and we had a very special dinner at the Melting Pot. Even though I go to the Cheesecake Factory every Sunday with Mommy and Daddy, Mommy was a little nervous to bring me here. She gave me lots of kisses when dinner was over because I did such a great job!

Once we got home, Auntie change me and got me all ready for bed! I was so excited for the Easter Bunny to come that I decided to wake up at 5 instead of 7. When Mommy went to my crib to see why I was grunting so much, she saw I had taken my skills of rolling over to my crib! She found me on my belly propped up on my elbows!!!

I finally fell back to sleep and woke at 7:30. When Mommy and Daddy brought me out to the family room I was so excited to see the Easter Bunny (thanks Grammie!!!) had visited! I got a new duck, bunny, and lots and lots of books!

After we opened gifts, we decided to be silly with my bunny ears! My ears were SO big on me, but SO small on Grampa! He was being so silly and put ears on my Grammie as well!

Later in the day we went to Mommy and Daddy's work to show everyone their new building! Grampa had a lot of fun putting me in my Daddy's chair! I felt like such a big boy!

It was also fun to get to wear my new hat my Auntie L gave me! Mommy says Boo to it...but Daddy seems to like it a lot!!!

We also got to show them the very special tree that sits outside of Daddy's window. It's in shape of an "E" and it makes Mommy and Daddy think of me every time they see it!!!

I had such a great time with you Grammie, Grampa, and Aunite! Thanks SO much for spending my very first Easter with me! You made it that much more special!

Jump! Jump! Jump!

Well, sort of. It's more like spin, spin, spin! Last night Mommy and Daddy went out and bought me a new jumping toy! We tired it out the second we got home...and I'd have to say...I love it!!! I don't quite know how to jump yet...but it's still fun to spin and play with my little bee friend!

This morning I woke up with a bad cough so Mommy decided to stay home and take care of me. At first she thought I was pretending so I could stay home and play in my jumper, but then I took a 3 hour nap and she knew I was telling the truth.

Hmmm...maybe I'll cough again tomorrow even if I am feeling better!

Spring Weekend!!!

Mommy had to work a couple hours this Saturday. Just as she was seconds from walking out the door, I decided to roll from my back to my stomach for the first time ever!!! (5 months, 1 day old) This then made Mommy late to work because she put all her stuff down to play with me! Both, Daddy and Mommy were so glad I decided to do it then and not 1 min. later!

Later that day we met Mommy at work and all went out for a nice lunch. Once we returned home, Mommy and Daddy discovered something...I'm now ticklish!!!

When we woke up Sunday morning, we saw that it was beautiful outside!!! Since I was born in November, I haven't gone on very many walks, or spent much time outside at all. So Mommy and Daddy decided it was a perfect day to go on my very first picnic! It sure was nice feeling that sun and spending time in the fresh air with my Mommy and Daddy!!!

Here's to family, weekends, and spring time!!!
