5 Months Old!!!

Or shall I say, 5 3/4 months old! I'm a bit behind on my 5 month update due to the fact that I've been so busy learning new things each and every day! Here's what I've been up to this month!

WHEN I GROW UP!!! (A few things Mommy and Daddy think I'm going to be!)
1) An artist! Earlier this month when Mommy visited me at school, I was very busy strapped to my highchair painting a picture! Later that night, the proof was all over my hands for Daddy to see!

2) A musician! Every Tuesday Mr. L comes to visit me at school and sings us so many songs! It's my favorite day of the week! However, my favorite song is one my Mommy and Daddy sing me...The ABC's. If I'm crying it often calms me down. However, by the time they get to the letter "U", I like them to start the song over!

3) An engineer! I study every little thing! (Mommy likes to call me Curious George) Sometimes when I'm in my swing, I like to watch the part of the machine that swings more than anything else!

4) A basketball player! (or soccer!) I don't blink when it's on TV! Just tonight Mommy tried feeding me, but I was too busy turning my head to get a better view of the Celtics/Bulls game!

5) A comedian. Mommy and Daddy laugh so hard at everything I do...it must mean I'm a pretty funny guy!

RUB-A-DUB-DUB!!!
Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to buy me my very first tub. Daddy picked me out a very special one in the shape of a Whale! All day Mommy was counting down the minutes until she got out of work so we could try it out. The second we got home, in the tub I went! Boy oh boy did I scream! It was a cry like no other! Day two didn't go any better. Mommy got smart on day three and decided to fill my tub with water "after" I was in it. This seemed to work! It's been a couple weeks now and I love my new tub! I just sit back, relax, and enjoy my link toys!

RiceCereal, YUCK!...Oatmeal, YUM!
Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to introduce me to Rice Cereal. I on the other hand had a different plan...like spitting everything out as it went in my mouth! After 3 days of trying, they decided to move me onto Oatmeal instead. It took a few bites for me to realize it wasn't Rice Cereal, however, now that I know, I inhale it!!! Mommy can't move fast enough for my liking! (below is my first time trying the rice cereal)

NEW TRICKS!
1) I just recently started to answer to my name!

2) I like to hold my bottle as I'm drinking. Mommy and Daddy still hold it with me, but I like to think I'm doing it all by myself!

3) This is a not so good trick, but recently I've been pretty scared of people. If I meet too many people at once, and they are trying to get me to smile, I do the exact opposite. I put a huge frown on my face that is followed by a very loud cry. Mommy and Daddy tell me I have nothing to be scared of and that usually makes me feel better.

4) Raspberries! I'm pretty sure I learned this by spitting out my rice cereal, but one day I decided to copy my Auntie and blow Raspberries at her!

Eric, as you can see you've been up to a lot lately! Thank you for your constant entertainment! We love all 16 lbs 10 oz. of you!!!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
