5k Boo Run!!!

If anyone knows me, they know running and I have never really been friends. It's more like enemies. I find it difficult, I tend to get bored, and though I enjoy working out, I don't really find it to be very enjoyable. Well, for the past two months I had been trying to become better friends with running. To take our relationship to the next level. And possibly even consider ourselves acquaintances. So, when I heard of the 5K Boo Run, I decided to sign the whole family up!!!

First up, Eric and Sara! They were so excited to take part in their first ever race!

Though, once it came time to line up, our little lady bug started to get butterflies!

And they're off!

Well, except for one. Poor little Sara was so excited, but then got a little overwhelmed with everyone taking off so fast. While she got hugs...

Our speedy boy was busy taking 1st place for his age group!!! Way to go speedy Eric and brave Sara!!! (The sucking in of the bottom lip is a new thing Sara does when she is being shy or attention is on her! Cutest face ever!)

Well, this wasn't embarrassing at all... since this run was taking place a few days before Halloween, I "heard" it was a costume run. So, Paul and I went as the Tortoise and the Hare...you know, since he's fast and I'm not! Turns out, we were just about the only ones dressed up. So off with the costumes it was!

I was so excited to be running with friends Sheila and Jenny! Though, they are way faster!

And my husband!!! He ran by my side and supported me the entire time, though this hare could have finished twice to my once!

Such a fun day spent with family and friends! Such a fun time putting my mind to something and achieving it! I can now say I am now acquaintances with running. Maybe one day we will be friends :)
