Happy Early 5th Birthday Eric!!!

For Eric's 5th birthday, though it was happening a bit before his birthday, we thought it would be fun to have all his friends over to watch the premiere of PIXAR's, Toy Story of Terror, special! When we ran the idea by Eric, he was SUPER excited! So it was a, GO!

We also thought it would be fun if we made a tent for them to watch it under, and as part of their party favor, hand out some flash lights that they could bring into the tent! We also ran this by Eric, and once again he was SUPER excited! So it was again a, GO!

However, we quickly realized we couldn't quite GO anywhere, without the help of a very special someone...GRAMPA!!!

TENT BUILDING!

The three boys went to work on the tent, and after several brainstorming moments, a few trips to the Depot, furniture moving, and a bunch of measuring, cutting and taping, a tent was created!!!

Since the party wasn't for a couple more weeks, we decided not to cover it just quite yet! And yes, in those two weeks, there were several bump in's to this new piece of furniture we now had in our family room! Hahaha!

PARTY DAY!

The day had finally come! Early that morning, we headed out and grabbed some last minute things...like the balloons and cupcakes! But it was time to quickly get back, so Mommy and Daddy could COVER THAT TENT!!!

The kids loved to help set everything up! And Eric did a great job placing all the pumpkins around the house for his friends to later decorate!

SPECIAL GUEST!!!

As we headed outside to sent up the bounce house, we looked up and saw a very special guest! It was Green Hopper!!! I guess there really is no true way of knowing that it was him, but when do you ever see a tree frog out during the day, and on your screen none the less! We feel it was Green Hopper coming back to wish Eric a very Happy Birthday! And to say a special hello to Sara as well! We miss you Green Hopper!!! Thanks for the visit!!!

PARTY TIME!!!

Eric and Sara had an absolute blast with Eric's buds! Making glow in the dark slime, decorating pumpkins, and bouncing around in the bounce house!

As everyone's thank you card, I printed out this photo for everyone. To this day, Eric treasures his as it sits framed on his bed!

Watching these kids under the tent, with their popcorn and flashlights in hand, and eyes wide opened as they were slightly frightened by the mini movie, was THE BEST!!! They were SO cute! And actually sat through the whole thing!

Happy Early Birthday Eric!!! Seeing you and your sister so happy is honestly the best feeling in the world! So glad we could give you such a wonderful time with your friends!!!

And a special thank you to Grampa!!! The tent was the hit of the party! We loved it so much, we kept it up for weeks after and watched TV under it! Hahaha!!! And thank you Mimi for keeping Sara and me company as the men were hard at work! We love you both!!!
