June 19th was a big day! Not only was it Father's Day, but Sara was Baptized!!!
She looked so beautiful in her dress! Unfortunately, her outfit was not complete. Mommy forgot her bow at home, that was made special for the occasion by Mommy and Daddy's friend Alison. :( I guess that's what she gets for being too focused on not forgetting the dress!
And we're off to go get Baptized!!!
After arriving at the church, we weren't too sure how things were going to go since both, Eric and Sara take a pretty mean nap starting at noon. Well, they got that nap all right, however, it was for 2 minutes on the drive over before we had to wake both of them for the occasion. Not to mention, Sara had a bad cold! Which way would it go...
It started off really well! Baby Girl was looking adorable and ready for her big day!
And big brother was doing a great job looking on!
The ceremony was beautiful! Though you were having to listen to it between Sara's cries! The only true time she stopped, was when the Priest put his hand on her head to bless her. It was a pretty amazing moment!
"Wait!?! We're done, yet, you're wanting to snap pictures! We don't think so!" We're pretty sure those were the exact words going through both, Eric and Sara's heads at this point!

And this was just about Mommy's as well. The entire time Sara was pulling on her ear leading us to believe she had an ear infection. My heart was breaking, and I had huge guilt. Just day's before (when she came down with her cold) we were going to take her to the Dr. to make sure she didn't have one and I decided against it figuring she was OK.
Needless to say, Daddy took her the very next day and she was PERFECT! Boy would it have been nice knowing that during these next pictures! One is "better" than the next!!!
Once loaded in the car, Daddy didn't even push on the gas and this is what the back seat of the car looked like! They were both out cold! And stayed that way for 3 hours after we got home!
Eric woke first, and Grampa had a huge surprise for him! A new scooter!!! He picked it up instantly, and we found it interesting to see that he pushed with his left foot since he is a righty! :)
Baby Girl sure did have a big day! Eric even had time to play bubbles before she woke up!
Not only that, but he got to run around and play with Ruby as well!
About an hour later, Sara decided to join in on the fun and was feeling much better! She even got to play with Hannah (so sad we don't have pictures of their visit) and her Mommy and Daddy, Jeff and Dina!!!
Though the timing of the Baptism didn't sit well with their runny noses and two minute naps, it really was a beautiful day! The Church was the same Church Eric was baptized at, and they were once again incredibly nice to us. Sara even got a blanket that was crocheted special, just for her! It's beautiful!
We can't thank Auntie and Uncle John enough for being Sara's God Mother and God Father. It means everything to us! And we thank each and every one of you for being part of Sara's very special day!
