Eric and Sara,

I just wanted to take a second to tell you about your Mommy. She is without a doubt the strongest person Daddy has ever met. Her endless positivity and sense of humor touch everyone she meets.

I've witnessed her give birth to you without the help of medicine. Have a series of three-hour IV drips to increase her number of platelets. Endure paralyzing dizzy spells in the middle of the mall. And have her heart flushed with medicine that made her chest feel like it was about to collapse. All the while, finding the strength to make Daddy and the most uptight doctors burst with laughter.

Her love and dedication to her family and friends cannot be matched. Every night, when she kisses the photographs of our loved ones who have passed, it's a reminder of how special she is. She believes their angel wings come down and embrace us and, because of her prayers, I know we're always protected.

She's the most positive, thoughtful, kind, compassionate, beautiful, hilarious person I've ever met and the best thing that has ever happened to us. If you ever find yourself bragging about your Dad's ability to do eight consecutive pull ups, just realize it's your Mommy who should be your idol. She puts family above all else and their health, happiness and safety before hers. I wish I could be half as strong.
