January 26, 2009 was a big day for me! It was my very first day of daycare!
Day one didn't go so well. I heard Mommy and Daddy talking the entire night about how they were never sending me there again! I usually eat every 3 hours...two bottles a feeding. One with breast milk, the other formula. Well, on my report card Mommy and Daddy saw that they fed me all day thinking each bottle was one feeding. Mommy was so sad that my day got messed up and felt incredibly guilty for bringing me there.
Later that night Mommy and Daddy calmed down a bit and realized it was only day one and partially their fault for not labeling my bottles. So I went back and day two went MUCH better! My feedings went perfect, and I was in a very good mood when Mommy and Daddy picked me up!
Every day gets better and better. Mommy and Daddy come every day on their lunch hour(Daddy most days) to spend time with me. They like to break up my day with a little visit from them! This is how they usually find me!

But at times they come and I am in the middle of catching some Zzzzzz's!

Mommy and Daddy love that my crib is by the window. I get lots of sun light AND they can see what I am doing as they come and go. In the beginning, Mommy like to watch from the car when no one knew she was watching. She's crazy huh! But it made her feel so much better when she'd see them block the sun from my eyes as they were changing my diaper, rub the top of my head, play and smile at me, and place me in my crib with my sleep sack on to keep me warm! And she's noticed every time I'm in a bouncy seat or swing they turn and face me towards another one of my friends so we can play/talk to each other (instead of sitting by ourselves). It's made her feel much better about leaving me there! And she has had a lot of fun getting to know my teachers as she spends time with me during the day!
Here are a couple of my report cards!

They've also signed me up for music class! Last Tuesday was my first class! Mommy came and I sat in her lap while we hit chimes and listen to Mr. Lou sing! Mommy said my favorite was the A-choo song and when the octopus would come at me!
Unfortunately I only got to spend half of my second week at school, the other half was spent in the hospital. Mommy and Daddy noticed I was having trouble breathing and took me to the ER. It was a very scary time for them, but after very good care, a few breathing treatments, and lots and lots of love from Mommy and Daddy, I am doing much better. There is no way of knowing, but Mommy and Daddy think I got sick from my other friends at day care. I love to put my hands in my mouth and that certainly doesn't help things!
Ok..well I'm off to bed. I go back to school to play with my friends tomorrow and I want to get lots of rest before then!!!

Sounds like a fun place to spend your days E man!
That's so nice that they send you home report cards! They sound really great! We're happy to hear that everything is going so good for Eric (minus the little stay in hospital of course!).
I love that they do that as well! Yesterdays report card made us laugh out loud. It said:
Eric enjoyed listening to Nursery Rhymes and following a teddy bear with his eyes!
Hahaha!!! What a life! We could just picture him staring and smiling at the teddy!
